ELEMENTS.

Scope and Content

A notebook labelled 'ELEMENTS.' on the spine, 'Periodic Groups.' on the front flyleaf and 'Inorganic Lectures' and 'The Chemical Elements and their Compounds.' [the latter not written by Sidgwick, according to Alton and Weiskittel] on the back flyleaf. The front of the volume consists of pages headed with the names of an element; the first few have notes on the element in question, but most of the pages have no entries. The back of the volume consists of brief notes in pencil which may not be by Sidgwick. This volume is paginated; this may have been done by Alton and Weiskittel while they were cataloguing the archive. There is a slip enclosed in the volume giving a summary of the volume's contents and stating that the entries in the back of the volume may have been created in the 1940s; this slip was probably created by Alton and Weiskittel.
