Scope and Content

Letter sent from Hohenzollernstrasse, Berlin-Wannsee. Hausmann praises Morse's book 'Rainer Marie Rilke and the Occult'. He expresses his interest in the Rilke's recently discovered relationship with Magda von Hattingberg, but laments the novelistic style of the book 'Rilke und Benvenuta'. He congratulates Morse on discovering a letter from Rilke to Claire Goll. He asks Morse to send him Stephan Spender's translation of the Duino Elegies, and with the letter sends Morse a copy of Rilke's Apollo sonnets.
