Letter sent from Frankfurt am Main. Hruschka asks Morse why nothing has been heard from him. His son is well, and is called 'Friedemann' - man of peace. In a postscript he ask for an explanation of the first lines of Sonnet II from 'Sonnets from the Portuguese'. The remaining seven pages contain Hruschka's German translations of English nineteenth century poetry.
