Scope and Content

Letter sent from Hohenzollernstrasse, Berlin-Wannsee. Hausmann is very sorry Morse has been badly affected by his operation, and that he will have to have another one. Despite everything, Morse is hoping to send him the bibliography at the beginning of August. He believes that Morse has not received his April letter because the censors objected to his mention of the war. Hausmann approves of Morse's suggestion of Werner Günther for the French portion of the Rilke handbook. He congratulates Morse on his travel plans, and says that he had no idea Morse had such close ties to the family of the Princess [Marie von Thurn und Taxis].
