Letter sent from Graz, Austria. Wickenburg asks Morse whether he is in Montegrotto. He hopes that Morse's eyes are better. His wife is recovering from a toe operation, while he is in good health and can move well with sticks. He does gymnastics in the morning, reads a lot, paints every day and writes his memoirs. He thanks Morse for the card and gives his regards to the Mr and Mrs de Bastiani.
