Scope and Content

Tabernacle church records, namely, account books 1876 - 1965, record of promises of members 1920-1945, pew rent book 1933-1956, and Sunday school accounts 1935-45.

Ainon chapel account books, 1926-1937.

Also, an account book of rents etc. belonging to David Hughes of Hafoty, 1838-1874, and an account of the building work at Ty'n Rhosydd, Llannerch-y-medd, Anglesey, 1905.

Administrative / Biographical History

According to The Baptist Handbook for 1936, in 1824 the Tabernacle Baptist Church at Bodedern, Anglesey had 120 seats, 57 members and 5 Sunday school teachers. The secretary was J. Williams of Baptist Chapel House, Bodedern. In the same year, Ainon Church had 150 seats, 24 members and 4 Sunday school teachers. The secretary is named as Miss M Hughes of Tynrhosydd, Llannerchymedd.
