Administrative / Biographical History

Fred Emery was born in Essex and attended Bancroft's School. He became a foreign correspondent and, amongst many assignments, he covered the Vietnam War. Fred Emery worked for The Times and was its chief Washington correspondent for seven years during the Watergate era. He later presented Panorama on BBC television.

Open for research (unless specified otherwise) although at least 24 hours advance notice should be given. Some files are closed until 2050 due to data protection legislation.
