Three-part television mini-series made by Thames Television subsidiary Euston Films, adapted from the satirical 1956 novel of the same title by Angus Wilson. The series featured early roles for Kate Winslet and Daniel Craig and won a BAFTA for best serial drama and earned Davies an award from the Writers' Guild of Great Britain. It was first broadcast on 12-May-92.
