Scope and Content

Contains: (1) ff.1-53: An alphabetical list of all the parishes within the diocese of York; (2) ff.55-65r: The patronage of the Archbishoprick of York - The Cathedral and metropolitical church of St. Peter in York; (3) ff.65v-69r: The patronage of the archbishoprick of York - The collegiate church of Southwell; (4) ff.70v-72r: The patronage of the archbishoprick of York - The collegiate church of Ripon. The latest date for collation of the main body of the text can be deduced from the entry for Henry Cook, 1743, after which are further entries in the hand of Dean Waddilove (dean, 1792-1828) bringing the list up to 1797, and including an entry for Francis Wanley, dean 1750-1791
