Australian diaries and an incomplete draft of a memoir.

[1-10] Diaries: 1 January 1928 - 3 April 1929; 11 April 1929 - end of year; 1930; 1931; 13 February 1932 - 30 June 1933; 1 July 1933 - 16 December 1934; 1 January 1935 - 4 December 1936; 6 December 1936 - 6 November 1938; and 8 November 1938 - 28 September 1940. There are biographical notes by Brooke Crutchley in volume 6.

Administrative / Biographical History

Ernest Tristram Crutchley (1878-1940), civil servant, worked in the Irish Office, Colonial Office and Dominions Office in the 1920s. He was the UK representative in Melbourne, 1929-32, responsible for migration matters, and the Representative of the British Government in Canberra, 1932-35.
