From Thomas Fisher in Northallerton to his father accepting that his father intends him to remain in the army but asking for money. He comments that he is ' as unhappy in my situation as anyone in the world but I hope you will not forget me but get me of if you can at either one time or another. He also states that ' I think from the letter my Brother as send me you mean me to remain where I am as long as I live...' He also asks his father to 'send me a little money to provide myself little nesecary's that my poor allowance will not aford I know you will say that i want it to get drunk with but you cannot say that ever you so me drunk in your life...'
