Edward Lancaster Burne (1869-1946) was an engineer and early member of the Newcomen Society. He designed a system to use windmills to generate electricity. For a longer biography of E Lancaster Burne, see the Profiles section of our website.

Custodial History

Part of a large amount of archival material in the possession of the Mills Section of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, which was transferred to The Mills Archive in February 2004.
