Partly typewritten, partly autograph material consisting of complete and partial drafts in varying states of completion. The drafts include the 'First paragraphs for defining 'The Two Planes''; an article for Country Life entitled 'Arts for Nature' with drafts about Prince Philip and his environmental work; two copies of an introduction to what appears to be an anthology of poetry written by children; a draft about computers; a piece about the poetry of Priscilla Napier and a page of a draft entitled 'Baskin's Prints'. A rough draft about poetry; a partial draft about understanding poetry; a draft entitled 'Trout on the Upper Taw'; a draft of an article written in response to an article by Francis Wheen; a piece about pollution of the river Torridge; notes entitled 'Fishing for Mackerel in the Shit Sea' and a notebook with drafts of articles (or perhaps speeches) about the River Torridge, the Arvon Foundation and Stephen Spender are also included (the notebook was originally a book proposal written by Manfred Evert and Hugh Lupton that has been recycled by Hughes and includes inserted pages). This folder contains some undated material.
