Correspondence with American publisher re Birthday Letters

Scope and Content

Printed proof with autograph annotations and corrections, including a letter from Farrar, Straus and Giroux Inc., the American publishers of Birthday Letters sent to Charles Boyle of Faber and Faber with the US publisher's copy editor's corrections and queries. Three copies of the American dustcover for the volume and correspondence between Hughes and Jonathan Galassi of Farrar, Straus and Giroux Inc. are also included. In the letter to Galassi, Hughes writes about the choices for the dustcover and dates of publication which he felt would be propitious.
