Letter: Robert Tully at Ballarat to his friend H. H. Hughes, Contractor, Warnambool

Scope and Content

LETTER: Robert Tully at Ballarat to his friend H. H. Hughes, Contractor, Warnambool. It was a pleasure to receive news from him that he is enjoying good health. He was hoping to have been able to give him news as regards the Eureka but so far all the holes have proved worthless. Shafts in the deep ground now run 175 feet deep and are very wet at the bottom. Mr Blunt is still there, and he last a little boy with dysentery. He thanks Hugh Hughes for his offer of assistance. He has never suffered so much in his life as he has done out there.
