Administrative / Biographical History
Drych Trewythen (The Trewythen Mirror) was a community play created to mark the 150th anniversary of the uprising of the Llandidloes. It was the first Bi-lingual community play in Wales and explored the events and aftermath of the 1839 Chartist uprising following the fall of the local textile industry, when protesters seized control of the town for five days.
The play marked the culmination of months of planning and work by the entire community, taking a total of four months to complete.
