To Christopher Strachey, thanks for his comments on Couffignal's book [Louis Couffignal, 1902-1966, French mathematician; the book is probably Les machines à penser (1952)] which does not think "very deep"; hopes to see more of Strachey in future and looks forward to seeing "Check Sheet" [program] in general use
