Letter from Arthur Young to Miss [Winifred] Isaac dated 8 March 1962: "Thank you very much for your pleasant and thoughtful letter and for the clipping from the Daily Telegraph... I am glad that you understand that it was necessary to tell the truth, as I saw it; such things are very hard to do, but necessary eventually. By the way there are some errors in the book, a few misprints and some mistakes on my part."
Dated at Rutgers, The State University, College of Arts and Sciences, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
The newsclipping is marked in ink with the date 15 Dec 1961 and the note Kindly return. The article, entitled 'Realist' with Delusions, discusses Gissing's life and reviews the volume of Gissing letters to Bertz, by Young, and of which Isaac and Alfred Gissing had spoken in earlier letters.
