Letter from Alfred Gissing to Winifred Isaac. In response to a letter from Isaac offering to pen some reminiscences of Mrs Gaussen, he replies regarding the proposed biography of his father: I do not know whether there would be room in the biography for actual details of her, as you know, one has to be brief in these days... Thank you very much for telling me of your connection with Mrs Gaussen. I have a letter from her, dated about five years back, telling me that she was then living in Ireland, & containing a few details of her family.
Dated at Barbon, Westmorland, via Carnforth.
