Letter from Alfred Gissing to M.C. Richter. He writes: "Thank you for your letter of the 28th Sept. with enclosed cheque for £7-12-0. I have pleasure in sending you the inscribed copy of Isabel Clarendon in 2 vols, and the seven printed stories with names & dates in authors hand listed at £2-10-0. If the other items remain unsold, I will with pleasure send you any that you may like to purchase. I should like to thank you for your expression of interest in my father's books & life, & to say that the owner of the items that you are purchasing is particularly gratified to know that they will be the property of one who takes a real interest in them."
