Photocopies of Rossetti family correspondence and papers, consisting of:

  • Correspondence of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, 1848-82, with a list of books belonging to D.G. Rossetti compiled by W.M. Rossetti, 1905
  • Correspondence and papers of William Michael Rossetti, 1848-1915
  • Miscellaneous papers, 1816-1957, including diaries, a commonplace-book and correspondence of other family members

Administrative / Biographical History

The Rossetti family includes Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882), painter and poet, William Michael Rossetti (1829-1919), man of letters and art critic, and Christina Georgina Rossetti (1830-1894), poet. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.
