Scope and Content

MSS.Add.3157 and 3838: 'Louis XVI', a play, 1886, 2 volumes. The play is apparently unprinted.

MS.Add.3157: (p. i) prefatory note; (p. iia) extract from the Glasgow evening times; (p. ii) copy of an editorial from The daily news, 22 September 1893; (p. 8) further prefatory matter; (p. 11) text.

MS.Add.3838: (fo.iv) prefatory notes; (fo. 17v) text. The text is incomplete at the end.

MSS.Add.3839-3840: Two copies of five poems, 1898 and 1899 respectively, 2 volumes. Each volume has prefatory and explanatory notes by the author.

MS.Add.4180: 'Choctaw Mascot Iago', a story, 1900, 1 volume (132 folios): (fo. i) title-page, with a manuscript note by the author; (fo. ii) prefatory matter; (fo. 1) text.
