Papers of Sir Lewis Morris, including original manuscripts, drafts and proof-sheets; poetry; school and university notebooks; tour journal, 1863; press cuttings of reviews; rent-rolls, etc. relating to the Glamorgan estates of Edward Herbert (1583-1648); recipes; copies of legal material; a commonplace book of H. A. Hampton; farm accounts; Carmarthenshire rent accounts; a Bible and Book of Common Prayer belonging to the Morris family; sermons; correspondence.

Sir Lewis Morris (1833-1907), poet and educationist, was born in Carmarthen. He trained at the Bar but his most important work was that done for higher education in Wales.
