Letter: [? Richard], Goat Inn, Carnarvon to his brother [John Owen]

Scope and Content

LETTER: [? Richard], Goat Inn, Carnarvon to his brother [John Owen]. Several of the letters he has written have been returned to him. He sent three to California and one to New York, and one was returned twelve months later. The writer had the nugget sent by him made intoa breast pin. His wife's two sisters called upon Brother Owen and were very well received. He has been keeping the Goat Inn since 3½ years and lives in the house where he lived with Mr. Jones, tailor and draper in the same street as Miss Parry. He hopes things get better after the war is over. He has not heard from Brother Owen since a long time. He wrote when his mother was ill asking if he wished to see her but he never replied. He hopes the letters will arrive so that John can read the account. He has kept a copy of each letter sent.
