Letter: H.J. Owens, Thurlow Lodge to his uncle

Scope and Content

LETTER: H. J. Owens, Thurlow Lodge to his uncle. He starts by informing his uncle that his father is going to write to his Uncle Richard. He objects to being called a maggot by the person he is writing to. His Uncle Richard has lumbago and the letter they received from him was written in Welsh with a request for his father to translate it into English for the benefit of his mother. He describes in the next three pages a Christmas card received from his cousin. Every item pictured on the card is mentioned.

[The writing appears to be that of a schoolboy].
