In October as there won't be any "ffa". He apologises for not being able to send money to her father from London. He hopes that her mother is doing well in the shop. He received letters from her mother and [her brother] Richard and is sorry that Richard did not stick to his work after his father went to such expense fitting out a new smithy for him. He saw her uncle (her father's brother) in London. He refers to a Miss Jones and Lizzy in connection with some boy friends.
