Letter: [Richard Parry] Stuben to his sister Sal

Scope and Content

LETTER: [Richard Parry] Stuben to his sister Sal. He was pleased to know that she is enjoying herself so much with her "intended" being there. He asks several questions about him, such as his job, his looks, and where would they live if they were to get married. He would like to hear from this young man. He comments on the photographs which he received. He is very critical of New York State, the weather and the employment situation there. "Plenty of poor devils around here that cant get half enough to eat." He is glad he is with James [Irving] as he gets plenty of fresh home killed meat etc. James's Uncle Edwin was shot dead in Nebraska. He continues in Welsh. Mae Mary Irving eisiau gwybod ym mha le mae Susan yn byw. Dywed nad ydynt wedi sôn am y gyfraith yn eu llythyr ac ni w?r os y'r mater wedi darfod. Roedd yn ddrwg ganddo glywed am dored John Hughes ac mae'n sôn am i J.H. ddal i gael ambell i beintyn. Ni chafodd ef ei hun ddim un ers tri mis oherwydd y pellter i'w gyrraedd ac wedi'r cwbl hen gwrw gwael ydio. Mae brawd Mary Irving yn ddyn da iawn, yn cadw T? Capel yno. Mae yn holi pwy yw Mary Jones sydd mewn trwbwl yn y Golden Eagle, ac yn cofio at lawer o gyfeillion.
