Scope and Content

LETTER: Owen S. Owen, Thurlow Lodge, Clapham S. Near London to his brother John Owen, Ship Charles Sprague, Glasgow. He received the sum of £59.12s which he has in his possession until he receives instructions from J.O. He recommends J.O. to allow him to buy half hundred in the Consols in J.O.'s name and no other person could draw it out. Dividends will be paid twice a year. He would be pleased to do anything that would be beneficial to his brother. He will share part of the money with brother Richard, nephew Henry, sister Sarah and other brother Owen. Mr & Mrs Pollock are very mean and indeed not worth serving. Owen's bungalow is beautifully painted and papered, it's like a little palace.
