Papers of Professor William Blair-Bell relating to meetings of the North of England Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society in his role as President and to his efforts to correlate the work of the different regional obstetrical societies in relation to the Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, in particular relating to the decision by the North of England Society to collect its own data for a survey on puerperal infection, and including printed programmes, administrative papers and reports from the 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th Congresses, meeting notes of the Lancashire, Cheshire and North Wales Council of the British Empire Cancer Campaign, with discussion of the success of the appeal in the Liverpool area, and papers submitted by Blair-Bell both for the British Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the British Empire.
