Gwilym Meredith Edwards (1917-1999) was born in Rhosllanerchrugog, Denbighshire. He was a character actor, appearing on stage, television, film and radio. The 1949 Ealing comedy A Run For Your Money was his debut film. Papers also reflect G.M. Edwards' involvement in Plaid (political party).

Collection includes: interviews and articles; material about work in theatre, films, television and radio; diaries; family and personal papers; and miscellaneous correspondence .

Administrative / Biographical History

All records deposited at Denbighshire Record Office have been retained. A drawing of Meredith Edwards by Franaz Pixmer, Rhodes 1992, was withdrawn by the depositor.
