Scope and Content

Exercise book with Barr's Hill School label, kept by Derbyshire in the Upper IV form. This contains only one piece: a short, two-page essay on Thomas Hardy. Includes four loose inserts, all of which are news clippings, relating to: St Cecilia's connection with music; 'The Humour of Dickens'; Henry James; and a reproduction of a woodcut showing the murder of Thomas Arden in 1551 (from the Radio Times).
