After Lunch was published to created to be humorous, sensible and analytical in discussing radical gay politics and the establishments grown out of the Campaign for Homosexual Equality. There is articles on Gay Sweatshop, the gay theatre company founded by Gerald Chapman in 1974, and racism in drag cabaret shows.
