The Jersey Harbours collections includes details of all ships registered in the Island from 1803 - 1930. The collection also includes daily sailings and arrivals at the ports, tidal data and records relating to the development of St Helier Harbour and land reclamation schemes.

Administrative / Biographical History
Jersey Harbours is responsible for the operation and management of Jersey's commercial port, marinas and harbours, including provision of a coastguard service and other professional maritime services. Jersey Harbours is also responsible for the registration of pleasure boats and commerical vessels through the British Registrar of Ships in Jersey. The register started in 1803 and includes several hundred ships built in Jersey during the 19th and 20th centuries.
