This collection consists of papers collected by Professor Richard Hitchcock as the Chair of the University of Exeter Fine Art and Exhibition Advisory Group.

First folder (327/2/1)

A series of letters referring to donations of fine art to the University of Exeter. The donations include artworks by David Blackburn, Thomas Boys, and Arthur Goodwin; minutes and accounts from the Fine Art and Exhibition Advisory Group meetings, 1998-c 1999; details of Fine Art and Exhibition Advisory Group forthcoming exhibitions, and protocol for arranging exhibitions, 1999; job description for a University Fine Arts Curator; Artists' Needs Survey, 1998.

Second folder (327/2/2)

Information on the background and installation of 'Skysails' - an architectural sculpture created by Devon-born artist Paul Mount in 1974, which now sits on the outside of Queen's Building at the University of Exeter. The sculpture was given to the University by Exeter graduate Dr A.J. Nunn in memory of his wife, Jean Henderson. The unveiling ceremony took place at 12 noon, Tuesday 21st April 1998.

Information on a planned exhibition at the University of Exeter, and University of Plymouth of the works of Clifford Fishwick entitled '50 years at Exeter', 1998.
