Norman Chadwick was the Chairman of the Norwest Co-operative Music Festival 1980- 1982. This was an annual music festival that consisted of several competitions which trophies were awarded to the winners. The first festival was held in 1980 at Chapel-en-le-Frith School, and in 1981 and 1982 it was held at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
