Letter from William Hull (1820-1880) [landscape artist practising in Manchester], referring to Crozier's appointment as the President of the Manchester Academy. "It was such an agreeable surprise to find there was such unanimity among the leading members of the Academy... Although the danger seems now past and the majority in your favour pretty secure, I should like the greatest possible number of votes to be recorded in your favour."
