Scope and Content

Photographs from Kingston University and its predecessor bodies including Kingston Polytechnic, Kingston Technical College, Kingston Institute of Technology, and Kingston School of Art/ Kingston College of Art. Covers a number of themes from the University's history including images of students and staff, buildings and campuses, sporting and social events, and special events such as building openings and guest visits.

Administrative / Biographical History

Kingston University is a university in Kingston upon Thames, south-west London. Formerly a polytechnic, it was granted university status in 1992. It's other predecessor bodies include Kingston College of Technology, Kingston College of Art and Gipsy Hill Teacher Training College.

Conditions Governing Access
