Research notebook compiled by Robert Barnes pertaining to birth defects and containing journal articles, drawings, a stereoscopic image, and notes on the work and cases of other medical men (1783-1864). Topics include spina bifida, webbed fingers, variations on the numbers of fingers and toes, and the effects of the imagination of the mother and father on the foetus.
