Informs Crook that 'Girard' is still off the (Library) shelves in London. She goes on to address the 'young/old question'. The 'young' are sure that they know the right way forward and forget that the 'old' felt the same when they were younger. They sometimes forget that there is more than one way forward. She uses this argument to try and persuade Crook to attend Roman Society Council meetings.
