Thanks Crook for advice. Indicates that evidence suggests Leonidas dismissed all the Greeksexcept his rear guard. As Crook observed, the 'look out man' would have reported movement of the flanking force under Hydarnes.. Burkitt considers rewriting the paper in the light of Crook's comments.
