Copy of court roll, manor of Caegurwen, recording that John William Preece and Gwenllian his wife (Gwenllian having been questioned on her own by the steward of the manor beforehand) have surrendered into the hands of the steward to the use of Griffith Richard of Llandeilo-fawr, Carmarthenshire, a house and lands called variously Koed y Ffalde [Coed-ffaldau] and Rhyd y Gyrnos in the manor of Caegurwen [and parish of Llangiwg], late in the occupation of John William Preece, [bounded from] a stream called Nant Rhyw-r-Prynion to another stream called Llyfnell [Llynfell] to the east, a road called y Genfforth to a stream called Nant y Quarrel to the south, a close of land called Kae Bach to a stream called Nant y Ffynnon to the west and a parcel of land called Bryn y Kynllifaney to the said stream called Llyfnell to the north.
