Written from Heckington. Congratulates him on good fortune but hopes it will not mean too much work. For herself 'I have learned to be very industrious, and am becoming quite a domestic animal.'On the back of this is a letter dated 24 May 1831 from Heckington from Mary's father, Matt Holdich to John Tabor. He believes that matrimony should be free and therefore he leaves 'the object of my children's choice to themselves'. He prays Heaven to bless their union. Jun 1831.
