To her mother from Allahabad. John has heard from the Bishop, saying he may take privilege leave next year for three months or if he prefers to go to a military camp in the hills. His name will be put down for Cashmere in 1879. Eliza could not go to the camp - 'it is not a place for a lady'- but would very much like to go to Cashmere. Much interested in account of the children, who have been on a visit.
