Scope and Content

From Malvern to India. Sad that there is a moth in the stuffed peacock; has sent for advice to naturalists in London and received a preparation from them, but thinks the trouble is past remedy. However, the tail is unharmed, and the rest of the body looks all right if it is not disturbed. Mr Whitley has taken a locum tenancy at Ross, but she will not invite them until John comes home, and she cannot cope with strangers. Aunt Susan and Aunt Jane have been to see her mother; very interested in Aunt Jane's account of a trip to the Pyramids and is determined to get to India again.
