Scope and Content

From Malvern to India. Has heard of a family in Paris where Lilian might stay; Roman Catholics but 'not of the proselytising sort'. Lilian could go there from May to Oct. If John does not come home this year and if her mother has died, Eliza thinks she might go to Darjeeling in Oct with Lilian; she needs long holiday and someone to look after her. Mary Catherine would stay in house and look after Mabel and Noel. Would like to visit Alllahabad again, with no Lady Stuart 'to despotise'. 'does that estimable person know, can she. The misery which her small soul inflicted upon a bigger one.'Possibly 1885 rather than 1884.
