Eliza [Tabor] to her husband

Scope and Content

Children all settled down to write stories as she writes her letter. Mother still not strong. Still working steadily at her book, but delayed by interruptions. Has arranged to give up a 20-yard stretch at the end of the garden, in return for a lower rent. Much of rest will be grassed over, for tennis court or other games for children. Hopes he may get a spell of leave in England and then be moved to Ranikhet, though she fears the steep roads there. Mr Peterson sends a copy of book he has just published: 'Notes to the Golden Treasury'. Enclosed drawing by Noel.
