From Rome to Liverpool. Has been interested in visits to Municipal Schools. Many mistresses and 'apparently of a better class than with us'. Saw an English School Text book, which was to be translated if approved of; thought it less good than one she know and asked Lilian to send a copy direct to Mme, Montiroli, or details of title, price, etc. Thinks she had better go direct to Malvern on return, not to Liverpool, to give time to arrange clothes etc. Has been looking for photograph of St. Jerome but not found a suitable one yet. Impressed by Roman Ritual, particularly for the poor: 'I do not think there is so much distress here as se have at home'.
