William Arthur Shaw Benson was a metalwork designer and founder of the Art Workers' Guild. He initiated the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society and died in July 1924. These letters offer advice on the Red Rose Guild, Margaret Pilkington's own art work, girls' clubs and the state of art and craftwork in general. There are a number of suggestions for the efficient running of art and craft societies, and a hint for getting rid of unworthy society members. The last sheet is an ink sketch of some decorative furniture.
