Manuscript volume containing notes in Latin on Samuel Stryk's Examen iuris feudalis , which was first published in 1675 and was widely used as a legal text-book due to its brevity and clarity.

Administrative / Biographical History

Samuel Stryk (1640-1710) was a leading German lawyer and Professor of Law, who was active in developing German law from native sources, rather than from received Roman law.
