Scope and Content

The 45 items deposited in 1984 (Accession no. 2330) by Messrs. Cole & Cole, Oxford solicitors, concern land and property, primarily in the nineteenth century in Hailey near Witney, and Ock Street, Abingdon.

Some prominent local families are involved, including the Duke of Marlborough and members of the Early blanket-making family. The items are arranged, firstly, by place-name, and then chronologically.
